Monday: More Food

I took Monday as a vacation day. We decided on dim sum lunch in Causeway Bay at a restaurant called Cheers in Windsor House. We ordered a special fried rice dish and fish in a clay pot.

Then ordered a assortment of dim sum. Ordered the typical steamed bbq pork buns, shrimp dumplings, and steamed turnip/garlic dumpling. Some of the more unique items were: Rice noodles stuffed with shrimp, Baked turnip puffs, Pan fried bean curd stuffed with shrimp
Egg rolls filled with taro

For dinner we went to the same restaurant in Aberdeen that we had dim sum at on Saturday. The menu that Uncle Simpson had translated in Feb had changed and I couldn't use the translations. We ordered a chicken and onion clay pot

The gave us a free dish of 2 roasted birds. They could have been quail or squab.

After the normal watermelon and hot red bean soup for dessert at the restaurant, we stopped for ice cream. Mom and Dad split a vanilla soft serve ice cream dipped in chocolate

Robin and I split a cappuccino mcflurry. I'm off for Hyderabad, India on Tuesday and Mom/Dad are going to Taipei on Wed.
