Mumbai, India

The Gateway to India is Mumbai's most famous landmark. It was built to commemorate the visit of King George V and Queen Mary in 1911 and was completed in 1924

The Taj Mahal Palace Hotel was built in 1903. It overlooks the Arabian Sea and the Gateway of India

Time for an India dinner in my hotel. Asked for a special Indian type bread. Different than the typical naan or roti. This was a thin dough that was cooked on top of a special surface that appeared to be over oven. Then the dough is folded and put into a basket.

I ordered a mixed non-veg platter. Here are the tandori prawns that they made for me. These was marinated with some coconut and other spices.

Platter had 2 of the prawns, chicken, lamb chops, and a dal. Also came with an indian bread that was on one of the previous pictures
