Had to try the local Turtle Soup.
More Hawker stalls. This time Robin was with me. 1st she had the roti prata, a South Indian flat bread. The dough is tossed, stretched very thin, then placed on a hot grill and served with a curry dipping sauce.
I got a "cheese paper". It used the same dough as the roti. Cheese was added on the top and it was then grilled and rolled.
We tried a Martabak. It's a fuller bodied version of the roti prata, but filled with ground mutton, onions, and egg and served with a indian sanbar (spicy soup). You can also have it stuffed with chicken.
Lot's of seafood in Singapore. Went to a restaurant where you pick out what you want and tell them how to cook it. Very large selection of seafood, some of which I had never seen before. Chose a Mantis and had it fried like a soft shell crab.

Ordered a bamboo clam. This happened to be flown in fresh from Scotland. Looks like a piece of bamboo

Picked out some crab and had it cooked one cooked as a Black Pepper Crab and one as a Singapore Chili Crab. Also ordered a fresh fish that was cooked in a wine soup.
