Beijing Vegetarian Restaurant

The best vegetarian food that I've ever had.

Unless you are local, you would never find this place. It was set behind buildings off the main street. Once inside you could smell the essence of lemongrass oil being heated over candles. It was a really nice place and had english menus. Even with translations it was a difficult menu to understand.

1st dishes were salad and sausages. Tasted just like a meat.
Had some japanese hand rolls

Bitter melon with black beans. I ordered this dish. They were surprised that I would like such a dish

Some soup. Not sure what it was, but it was good

My favorite of the entire meal. Spicy fish in hot oil. They provide you with a piece of white bread that you put the "fish" on to absorb the excess oil. Tasted just like fish and even looked like it.

A mixed tofu dish with a lot of different ingredients. This was also really good.

For dessert we had mandarin oranges presented over dry ice served in a great looking bowl.
