Highlights of 1st 4 months

I wish I had brought my camera with me to the dining experiences of the last 4 months. It just hadn't occured to me until now. Just thinking about the unique places has made me hungry, what a surprise. In the 16 weeks in Asia so far, I've made 9 trips to China, 1 to Korea, 1 to India, and 1 to Singapore.

China has taught me that every city is different and every restaurant has their own unique food. I don't think I've eaten the same dish anywhere. A very good restaurant I've eaten at is South Beauty http://www.qiaojiangnan.com in both Shanghai and Beijing. If you like spicy, this is a good place. Have also had my share of noodles, pizza hut, and KFC,

Korea was spicy and I enjoyed that. Kim Chee, Soups, Casseroles, hot pots, dumplings.

India wasn't just Curry. Indian for Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner. I think I'm the only one that gained weight during a week in India. Had kabobs on a pizza from Pizza Hut. Hot and Sour Soup and a Mysore Masala Dosa for lunch at a local place, Various breads other than Nan and Roti at the Great Kabob Factory in Delhi.

In Singapore, I experienced the traditional Hainan Chicken lunch one day and Pork Rib Soup with Tea on another day. Also the Black Pepper Shrimp and Curry Fish Head. Sounds awful, but it was good.

Here are some photos of local Hong Kong restaurants visited this past week.

No English spoken here and no english menu. Just a very friendly waitress and cook who took our order of Wonton Mein and Beef Stew Wonton. Dinner for less than $5 for 2, Can't beat that

Also we had dinner with friends at the International Curry House. Pictures of the food to follow

Lastly, some cards of restaurants we have been to, like the Famous Fish Ball Noodle Soup in Aberdeen
